I've written before about my love for investment pieces however I am proud to say I am a savvy shopper. In fact, I am in no way a sale snob, give me those red dotted racks and I'll shamelessly ransack them. OK, ok - somethings like knitwear can be more expensive but that's because I will always opt for the natural blends like wool and cashmere over acrylic fabric as it keeps you warmer, but that doesn't mean you need to spend full price on these! Keep an eye on sales from sites like The Outnet, J.Crew, Witchery & Matches Fashion. When the other side of the world is going into winter, the summer looks go on sale which suits us Aussies perfectly. Keep an eye out for anything that's quality material and in a classic shade/shape and snap it up immediately. Get to know your body and what suits you, I know that seems to be a line everyone parrots but I swear, it really does help when it comes to online shopping - it also limits those pesky returns! Knowing your size in your favourite brands and being quick on the trigger can save you money, saved money means more shopping money (am I right ladies)? Don't be afraid to think ahead, regardless of the up coming trends, trust your style and follow your own trend. For example, I bought this knit from the Net-a-porter sale in December knowing I would need trans-seasonal knits in the coming months as fortunately, unlike my emotions, the seasons are predictable so you can shop in advance. Trust yourself and know your body — with a little time and effort you'll slowly build up a wardrobe so full of your style you'll never be in doubt.
