First week back at work and it's been, um, interesting. Over the holiday break it seems like everything failed in the house (like EVERYTHING!) so the year's off to an expensive start but here's hoping to get it all out of the way early on in the year so it can only get better ... right? In the interest of saving money I'm also taking great advantage of the sales that are happening at the moment. Net-a-porter and Matches Fashion are always worth a look (60-70% off!) and as crazy as this will sound, now is the time to start thinking about your winter wardrobe. Look for classic cuts in good quality fabrics and be sure to carefully evaluate what you've got before investing in more. Things I'm buying up are military coats, bell sleeved jumpers, tweed blazers and everything velvet.
Meanwhile I'm still making the most of this beautiful weather by living in these palm print shorts and working outside as much as I can. Nothing says Australian summer like the sound of cicadas, the smell of mozzie coils and afternoon jetty jumps at the beach. Though I'm planning for the coming seasonal change, I never want summer to end.
