Clashing prints, colours and textures has been high on my radar ever since Olivia Palermo redefined the street style game. It seems to come second nature to her to expertly clash pieces and still look chic and effortless. Some women have great style naturally, but for the rest of us (me!) it takes time to refine our style eye and make it our own. As my style as evolved I've learnt to be more decisive and trust my instincts, It's been a long while coming but boy it's empowering when I just trusted.

So, when it comes to attempting the clash there are a few things I keep in mind. Whatever the intention of the clash, make sure there is some manner of uniform to the look - for example, this shirt has little red lady bugs which pick up the red in the skirt and clash with the blush shoes thus staying in the monochrome vibes which makes it easier to style. Keeping to the classics is never going to steer your wrong, a pinstriped shirt and a midi skirt is about as classic as you can get so the clash comes in the texture of the cotton, lace and velvet. Lastly ladies, KIS! Keep it simple for your beauty if your outfit is clash-tastic, nude lips and a good liner are more often than not all you need to give a look some polish.
