Just a few quick photos from our backyard shoot, with the most adorable photo-bomber ever. A black and white series channeling my inner 50's goddess has been in my mind for a while now but all my diligent hard work at the gym isn't yet paying off the way it used to in my 20's. So in true Copper fashion I said 'F#*K it' and shot it anyway. Thank goodness black and white is eternally forgiving but I also kinda love the flaws I can see in this series of photos. It's a celebration of a body that's been abused, tormented and is still learning to be loved and I am damn proud of that. I mean yes, I can see my backflub and stretch marks and the scars on my legs but I CHOOSE to see the beauty in that now. Gone are the days where I would hide my insecurities behind an eating disorder and baggy clothes. I am who I am and there is absolutely no shame in that. As my best friend Reema would say 'let your freak flag fly' and I agree 100%. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
